Sedimentary Rocks
Sedimentary rocks are formed when water, wind, and ice all push down on sand, rocks, inorganic and organic things. When all the pressure on all of sand, rocks and other things are compacted to make a layered sturdy rock. Three sedimentary rocks found in Georgia are limestone, sandstone, and baryte. A few uses for sedimentary rocks are making roads, houses, tunnels, and canals.
